Recently, seven departments including the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shandong Province jointly issued the Work Plan for the Steady Development of Shandong Province"s Machinery and Power Equipment Industry.

　　Centered on the six major fields of industrial mother machines, agricultural machinery and equipment, engineering machinery, robotics, instruments and meters, and power equipment, Shandong will boost coordinated efforts on both the supply and demand sides, and accelerate the promotion and application of equipment. By the end of 2026, the operating revenue of the main business in the six fields will exceed 400 billion yuan, and a high-quality development system for the machinery and power equipment industry will take shape featuring innovation-driven development and a complete industrial chain.

　　Shandong will support enterprises in building innovation platforms such as manufacturing innovation centers and key laboratories together with colleges and research institutes, as well as conducting collaborative research on fundamental and key technologies including high-precision spindles, intelligent electronic control systems, embodied intelligence large models, novel energy storage, and nano-level precision detection. The province will also advance the construction of pilot-scale verification platforms, deploy pilot test bases in sectors including industrial mother machines, robotics, intelligent testing equipment and power equipment, and bridge the “last mile” in the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. Leveraging major national sci-tech projects and key R&D initiatives, Shandong will strive to bring more innovation resources to the province.
