Experiencing a Uygur wedding has gradually become a tourism draw in Xinjiang. Some banquet venues in Urumqi and Kashgar offer viewing areas on the second-floor mezzanines for tourists to watch real ceremonies live. In Kashgar city, 26-year-old visitor Zhang Yao observed a wedding this way. "The women wore an abundance of ornate jewelry. Their dresses had a bold, vivid theme color but were different in design, all absolutely stunning," she said, while also noting the importance of respecting the hosts on their big day.

　　Yao Jiahui tried her luck on Thursday and happened upon a wedding. A bridesmaid took her along on the dance floor. Aunties asked her in Uygur if she was enjoying the event. "It's all in the dance," she said.
