“蒹葭苍苍，白露为霜。”每年公历9月7日至9日，白露悄然而至。此时，暑气渐消，凉风渐起，昼夜温差拉大，夜间水汽遇冷凝结成露，晶莹剔透，缀于草叶之上，晨光中泛着莹白微光，“白露”之名由此而来。

　　"The reeds grow lush and green, the white dew turns to frost." Every year between September 7 and 9 on the Gregorian calendar, White Dew arrives quietly. By this time, the sweltering heat of summer gradually subsides, cool breezes begin to rise, and the temperature gap between day and night widens. As night falls, water vapor condenses into droplets upon touching the cold air—crystal clear and glistening, they cling to blades of grass and leaves, shimmering with a pearly white glow in the morning light. It is from this very scene that "White Dew" derives its name.

　　民间素有“白露秋分夜，一夜凉一夜”的说法。此时节，人们有饮“白露茶”、吃龙眼、酿米酒等习俗。白露茶不似春茶鲜嫩、夏茶干涩，别有一缕甘醇清香。古人尚有“收清露”的雅俗，晨起采集草叶上的露水，用以煮茶或煎药，寓意祛病延年。

　　As the folk saying goes, "The nights of White Dew and the autumn equinox bring cooler weather with each passing day."During this season, people observe customs such as drinking "White Dew tea," eating longans, and brewing rice wine. White Dew tea lacks the tender freshness of spring tea and the harsh dryness of summer tea, offering instead a uniquely mellow sweetness with a delicate fragrance. The ancients also practiced the elegant tradition of "collecting the clear dew"—gathering the morning dew from grass and leaves at dawn to brew tea or decoct medicine, believing it would ward off illness and prolong life.
