As the global robotics industry accelerates toward large scale applications, China"s advantages are extending beyond manufacturing into industrial chains and application ecosystems.

　　According to the MIIT, China currently has more than 400 humanoid robot products, accounting for more than half of the global total, while domestically produced quadruped robots account for nearly 70 percent of global sales.

　　At the same time, a wide range of real-world scenarios, from factories and logistics centers to shopping malls, hotels, healthcare and elderly care, are providing robots with continuous opportunities for testing and improvement.

　　One of China"s key advantages lies in its complete industrial chain, combined with a large number of diverse, complex and frequently used application scenarios. As a result, competition in the robotics industry is shifting from a simple contest of technical performance toward competition between broader ecosystems, Wang said.

　　China is moving to turn those application advantages into deployment at scale. In June, the MIIT and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission launched a nationwide initiative to promote the regular deployment of humanoid robots and embodied intelligence in real world environments. The initiative aims to develop more than 100 high value application scenarios and build capacity for deployment on a scale of 10,000 units by the end of 2026.

　　"The more applications there are, the more real-world feedback companies can obtain, and the faster products can improve. Greater scale then helps bring costs down, allowing robots to enter even more scenarios," Xiang said, noting that this combination of industrial capacity, real world applications and growing scale is helping China connect robot research and development more closely with manufacturing and commercialization.
