Jinan's five major tourism elements—mountains, springs, lakes, rivers, and the city—serve not only as the city's calling cards but also as the inspiration for his photographic creations. Beyond the landscapes, Xiao Chen incorporates traditional handicrafts such as paper-cutting and rabbit kings as photographic props, organically combining the old town's cultural heritage with modern image art. He posits that with the enhancement of urban life conveniences, Jinan's approachable spring culture and the unique “hustle and bustle“ of the city will attract people from around the world to experience and explore its history.

　　为了重拾商贾云集的繁盛，2013年，曲水亭街落成“民俗文化一条街”，经过多次整修改建，流水化、工业风的小店渐渐消失，取而代之的是各有特色的民俗手工仿古商亭，鲁绣、书法、古玩字画、老粗布、面塑、剪纸、串珠、漫画等十八般手艺悉数登场，老街因文化展示逐渐成为网红打卡点。
