Since the first Shandong Talents Innovation and Development Fairwas jointly held with the 11th China Shandong Domestic and Overseas High-EndTalents Exchange and Projects Negotiation Fair in October 2020, the event has been hosted every two years. It has grown into a vital platform for Shandong to gather talents, connect resources and drive innovation. Statistics show that the previous three editions have attracted more than 280 top-notch talents from home and abroad, with over 8,600 talent-oriented projects settling in Shandong, injecting robust momentum into the province’s high-quality development.

　　For the new development stage, Shandong focuses on 19 signature industrial chains, especially cutting-edge sectors such as AI large-scale models and humanoid robots. It has released 204 core technology demands, with a total investment of 2.19 billion yuan and a bidding reward fund of nearly 500 million yuan, demonstrating Shandong’s resolve and strength in tackling industrial technical challenges and drawing talents for joint research.

　　At the start of the 15th Five-Year Plan period, Shandong has an even greater need for talents and offers broader opportunities for them to succeed. This year, Shandong has rolled out concrete measures via the conference: releasing 5,070 postdoctoral vacancies and 1,517 special postdoctoral posts. In addition, gold medal winners in all tracks of the 8th Shandong Postdoctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition will be directly granted the Shandong TalentCard with corresponding green-channel services.
