At the Jinan Exhibition Center of the Fédération Internationale de l'Art Photographique (located within the Shandong University of Art & Design), the exhibition “CivilizationDialogue between The Yellow River andthe Nile - Exhibition of Photography Art Works of China and Africa“ showcases the rich histories, landscapes, and cultures along these two iconic rivers. Through a diverse array of photographs, the exhibition captures the essence of the regions influenced by the China’s Yellow River and the Africa’s Nile. On display, the morning light on the Nile as seen through Chinese lenses contrasts beautifully with the sunset over the Yellow River captured by African photographers. Curator Zeng Yi highlights the unique visual perspectives born from distinct cultural backgrounds, creating a fascinating chemical reaction through this “third perspective“ approach.

The Yellow River, China's cradle of civilization, flows eastward through nine provinces and regions, while the Nile, Egypt's lifeline and the world's longest river, runs north through nine African countries. This exhibition, through the lens of photography, not only captures the dialogue between these two civilizations but also builds a bridge of friendship between China and Africa, narrating a comprehensive and authentic Chinese story to the world. This vision is the heart of Professor Zeng Yi's curatorial masterpiece.
